When fitting the rear window (Part 102A) into the body (Part 101A) during Step 102.7, you may find that the window is a tight fit.
This is expected, and the rear window can be fitted successfully by following the correct order below.
How should I fit the rear window?
It is important to fit the bottom of the window first before attempting to secure the upper tabs.
- Position the rear window 102A inside the body 101A.
- Make sure the three tabs along the bottom of the window are fully inserted into the corresponding notches in the body.
- Check that the window is correctly aligned and sitting evenly.
- Once all three lower tabs are properly positioned, carefully and evenly press the top of the window into position.
- Continue applying gentle, even pressure until the upper tabs locate correctly.
When positioning the window, remember to thread the LED wires 53D through the semicircular notch in the window as shown in the assembly instructions.
The rear window feels very tight – is this normal?
Yes. The fit can be quite snug, particularly when securing the upper section of the window.
The assembly has been checked and can be completed without damaging the window when the lower tabs are correctly seated first.
Do not try to fit the top of the window before the three lower tabs are properly located, as this can make the window more difficult to position.
Take care during assembly
Do not force one side of the window into place while the other side is incorrectly positioned.
Instead, check that:
- All three lower tabs are correctly seated.
- The window is centred and evenly aligned.
- The LED wires are routed through the correct notch.
- Pressure is applied carefully and evenly across the upper section.
If the window does not fit after checking the alignment, remove it carefully and check the position of the lower tabs before trying again.
Good to Know
A tight fit on this step does not necessarily indicate a faulty rear window or body part.
Correctly positioning the three lower tabs first is key to completing Step 102.7 successfully and reducing the risk of damaging the window during installation.
